Getting started

From sign-in to your first saved contact, in three steps

No setup, no import to run, nothing to configure. Here's exactly what happens the first time you sign in.

Step 1

Sign in with Microsoft 365

Connect with your work or school Microsoft account. ContactGleaner asks for read access to your inbox, sent mail, and calendar, and consent to write new contacts to your Outlook contacts — nothing more.

Step 2

Your first scan runs automatically

There is no "Scan" button to click. As soon as you sign in, ContactGleaner reads your last 30 days of mail and calendar invites and finds the contacts hiding in email signatures. After that, it keeps checking on its own.

Step 3

You approve every contact

New contacts land in your review queue, not your address book. Save the ones you want, skip the rest, or edit a field first — nothing writes to Outlook until you say so.

What if my first scan doesn't find anything?

That's normal if your last 30 days have been quiet. As new email arrives, ContactGleaner keeps checking automatically — no need to run anything again. Curious exactly what gets pulled from a signature? See everything we capture →
